Honestly, when I first received and sprayed the extrait de parfum version of this fragrance, I was not impressed. It smelled good but not what I was expecting. So, I used it a few times then set it aside and forgot about it for a few months. I started using it again in the past several days and what a difference. It smells a lot better and it finally smells like a Guerlain perfume. I admit, I don't know what this particular Shalimar flanker smells like, but I know Guerlain perfumes enough to know when they're emulated well. If you received it and it doesn't smell that good from the get-go, it might be best to let it sit for a couple months or so - or as long as you can bear it :). A gorgeous, creamy, sweet, gourmand tonka fragrance.

This turned out to be a great purchase. I bought the original after trying a decant. It wasn't too expensive but I thought I'd try a clone as well. At first spray it was obvious they were pretty close. I've had it about a month now and I just mix sprays between the Perfume Parlour and the original. They are both EDP concentration and last long enough for me. Next I may try the Carbon clone as it is only an EDT.

Beautiful fragrance. Wore it to work yesterday and got many positive reactions and complements at lunch, so like 6 hours in to applying. Is a good mix of noticeable and present but not cloying. Would definitely repurchase as a Diorissmo alternative.
