Very similar to Dahlia Noir of which I loved, not as powdery but close ! My new favourite perfume !
I've never smelled the original. But this is a wonderful, feminine, soft, floral, scent in my view. It meets my 4 criteria. It's classy, elegant, sophisticated and expensive smelling. To me the opening is like sticking my nose into a bunch of cut flowers but at first only getting the scent of leaves and stems. Then the florals kick in. I'm no good at picking out individual floral scents. But there's something unique about the florals that appeals to me. Maybe it's the mimosa. The dry down I love because it is soft, slightly musky/woody and a little powdery. So many perfumes for women today have a pronounced masculine dry down from the addition of oud(agar wood). This fragrance is feminine all the way down. There's nothing sharp or screechy about it from beginning to end. It's a great spring/summer/early autumn scent. The projection and strength are what I would call medium. It's not going to appeal to girls who're still into their fruity and gourmand scents. But from their late 20s women begin to appreciate more scents like this. This review is of the oil. I hope that helps you decide. But everybody's nose is different.
Late review from me. Wearing this today. Lovely perfume. Could not afford to buy original. Thank you PP
VERY floral, not my usual scent but is very unique smelling and gets better the longer you have it on, good quality oil lasts for ages!
Very classy fragrance. Darkly beautiful and unusual. Not the kind of scent I usually wear but I am loving this one!
