I was really surprised by this. I blind bought it because I really miss my old black xs l'excess from many years ago.
This one smells very similar but is missing that juicy pineapple or something. It's not 100% but it will definitely hit that nostalgic feeling !!
Love this scent. Got a compliment when I wore it. It's pretty good projection and longevity to be fair.
Genuine review.. I would give 4 star because it's not a 100% AAAAA clone but it's so damn close I will give it a 5 star!

It is a pleasure that a perfume house like Perfume Parlour delights us with sadly discontinued perfumes like this marvel and is able to transport us to the past in such a brilliant and well-made way. Try it and you will understand what I mean. The combination of lemon and amber makes it exquisite.
I never smelt the original from Penhaligon's, but I smelt other alternative from other fragrances oils companies. I like Perfume Parlour proposal. It smells smoky and a bit sweet for some hours, I like the smell a lot. It tends to turn on the sweet side after some hours, but the smell is still good.

I find it better than the original because the PP is directly in the bottom of the perfume with a 90% similarity (I own the original)

Absolutely Amazing
I discovered the original scent (Kilian Smoking Hot) in a large dept. store and instantly fell in love with it. I've been waiting for PP to release this and they have hit the nail bang on the head with this one. It is identical to the original. Smells amazing and lasts for ages. I can still smell it on my clothes the next day. Only a very small amount needed for maximum effects. I'm using the 60ml Extrait. 10/10 PP.

A sweet hybrid
This is lovely and sweet, quite juicy as well. To my nose it's like a hybrid of Instant Crush and Erba Pura. It's just seems to work without leaning too feminine. This is now my 24th or 25th extrait bottle from P.P. I just wish the delivery was quicker.
