I've been buying perfumes from PP for many years. This is another gem. I've never smelled the costly original. I only know that PP have created a classy, elegant scent that smells expensive. It's a demure, floral chypre with a soft, floral drydown with a slight woodiness. It's a great scent if you don't like strong perfumes. If you lean toward the feminine floral. If you're looking for an elegant,light, clean scent for the office, for a luncheon date, a job interview or around men who like soft floral scents on a woman with just a hint of unisex from the cedar and woody moss in the drydown. On me it doesn't project beyond 2 feet. Because it's not strong it fades after about 3 hours. So I buy the oil or small spray to keep in my bag for top ups, Hope this helps you to decide.

My preferred fragrance lately...
I never smelt the original from Penhaligon's, but I smelt other alternative from other fragrances oils companies. I like Perfume Parlour proposal. It smells smoky and a bit sweet for some hours, I like the smell a lot. It tends to turn on the sweet side after some hours, but the smell is still good.

Absolutely Amazing
I discovered the original scent (Kilian Smoking Hot) in a large dept. store and instantly fell in love with it. I've been waiting for PP to release this and they have hit the nail bang on the head with this one. It is identical to the original. Smells amazing and lasts for ages. I can still smell it on my clothes the next day. Only a very small amount needed for maximum effects. I'm using the 60ml Extrait. 10/10 PP.

A sweet hybrid
This is lovely and sweet, quite juicy as well. To my nose it's like a hybrid of Instant Crush and Erba Pura. It's just seems to work without leaning too feminine. This is now my 24th or 25th extrait bottle from P.P. I just wish the delivery was quicker.
