This is a great fragrance for fall winter or spring. first five minutes is a sharp + bright lavender, I could see some people thinking it is too bright and somewhat harsh during first 5 minutes, especially if worn around summer time --fortunately after 5 minutes the sharpness goes away completely + it evolves into a soapy, creamy, + musky/woody lavender, smelling like a good quality shaving cream / aftershave. Personally I love the smell of shaving cream (rive gauche has been a holy grail for years) and I love this one. It bears slight resemblance to platinum egoiste, just somewhere in the base of it... the top end / detail resembles more of a soapy, purple foamy shaving soap vibe rather than the bitter green + herbal/ complex woody musk of platinum Egoiste. This one is very simplistic but it has such a charm , it really is one that goes from one thing and gets exponentially better during the first hour, very much so, to the point it kind of blows my mind

My preferred fragrance lately...
I never smelt the original from Penhaligon's, but I smelt other alternative from other fragrances oils companies. I like Perfume Parlour proposal. It smells smoky and a bit sweet for some hours, I like the smell a lot. It tends to turn on the sweet side after some hours, but the smell is still good.

Absolutely Amazing
I discovered the original scent (Kilian Smoking Hot) in a large dept. store and instantly fell in love with it. I've been waiting for PP to release this and they have hit the nail bang on the head with this one. It is identical to the original. Smells amazing and lasts for ages. I can still smell it on my clothes the next day. Only a very small amount needed for maximum effects. I'm using the 60ml Extrait. 10/10 PP.

A sweet hybrid
This is lovely and sweet, quite juicy as well. To my nose it's like a hybrid of Instant Crush and Erba Pura. It's just seems to work without leaning too feminine. This is now my 24th or 25th extrait bottle from P.P. I just wish the delivery was quicker.
