I do not know what the original fragrance smells like and this is a review of the perfume oil version. My nose picks up all the listed notes and others that are not mentioned (or perhaps the way these notes are blended give way to them.) Either way, this fragrance smells very good to me. It is definitely reminiscent of a scent someone would smell in a Havana restaurant bar. The tobacco note is not strong in the drydown, but again, that could be because the notes are so well-blended that no one note stands out more to my nose. It also reminds me of karak chai. I think it's a lovely fragrance for women and men. I categorize it as a winter evening scent but I imagine it doing well as an every day fragrance, too, if applied lightly. The tobacco and leather notes come out strong at first but then they dissipate into the backgroud and blend harmoniously with the other notes. Fairly strong projection.
Smells like gasoline. Something is off with the blend
